Battle of Five Forks Reenactment at Hale Farm

For the third year running, I traveled over to Hale Farm and Village for their annual Civil War reenactment. I got to wear my sheer striped dress to the event and while it was still very warm out, it was still much cooler than the calico dress I've worn in years past.

We walked around the village a bit and looked around the Union and Confederate camp sites. Kerry had gone with me again this year and he took a few photos while we were in the garden.

And as always, Abraham Lincoln was present. Kerry HAD to get a photo with him.
While we taking a breather later, Kerry pulled up a bit of dress for a pillow while we were under the trees.
We stayed the battle reenactment - the Battle of Five Forks in Virginia on April 1, 1865. "This battle caused General Robert E. Lee's lines around Petersburg and Richmond to become untenable. The Unions forces, led by Major General Phil Sheridan met and fought Confederate forces under General George Pickett." - from the program.

We somehow ended up with front row seats behind the Confederate line and although there wasn't a lot of room to move, I did get some good photos.
